Me and my husband were stuck in Istanbul over the weekend for not having a visa to Ghana.
We both Ghanians with foreign passports.
On Monday morning we decided to make a trip to find out if they could help us with a visa…
After reading all the reviews I was terrified to go over there.
Thank God we went. We met an awesome staff, very caring and respectful.
We had a good chat and most importantly they took care of us.

Pazartesi sabahı vize konusunda bize yardımcı olup olamayacaklarını öğrenmek için bir gezi yapmaya karar verdik…
Tüm değerlendirmeleri okuduktan sonra oraya gitmekten korktum.
Allah'a şükür gittik. Çok ilgili ve saygılı harika bir personelle tanıştık.
Çok güzel sohbet ettik ve en önemlisi bizimle ilgilendiler.

Very poor service. A brother is being held and treated like a criminal for a month now for no crime done. We have been trying to get the consulate to intervene but all that we get is we will get back to you all this while. I can say with proof that the Ghana's ambosodor to turkey is not interested in helping anyone if you find your self in trouble.

Çok kötü hizmet. Bir kardeşim hiçbir suç işlemediği için bir aydır alıkonuluyor ve suçlu gibi muamele görüyor. Konsolosluğun müdahale etmesini sağlamaya çalışıyoruz ama tüm bu süre boyunca size geri döneceğimiz oluyor. Gana'nın Türkiye elçisinin, başını belaya sokması durumunda kimseye yardım etmekle ilgilenmediğini kanıtlarla söyleyebilirim.

If a Ghanaian citizen enters Turkey and is in trouble, he can assume that this consulate will not help! The phone calls are either not accepted or you are lied to from front to back. All employees act in a highly unprofessional manner and, in my opinion, should be terminated immediately. Even 1 star is still too much. This consulate gets 0 stars from me. The emails are not replied to. If someone answers the phone, you are put off or the boss himself lets you know that he is not there, although you can hear that he is sitting there in the office and tells the employees to get rid of the callers. This consulate is a dirty shop! With such an underwhelming behavior, you can immediately tell that these people are not really educated there and are in no way suitable for this profession! How do you say again in Ghana: The system is not working! Even if these Ghanaians work abroad!

Ganalı bir vatandaş Türkiye'ye girip başı belaya girse bu konsolosluğun bir işe yaramayacağını düşünebilir! Telefonlar ya kabul edilmiyor ya da size baştan sona yalan söyleniyor. Tüm çalışanlar profesyonellikten son derece uzak bir şekilde hareket ediyor ve bence derhal işine son verilmeli. 1 yıldız bile hala çok fazla. Bu konsolosluk benden 0 yıldız alıyor. E-postalara yanıt verilmiyor. Birisi telefona cevap verirse, ertelenirsiniz veya patronun kendisi size onun orada olmadığını bildirir, ancak onun ofiste oturduğunu ve çalışanlara arayanlardan kurtulmalarını söylediğini duyabilirsiniz. Bu konsolosluk kirli bir dükkan! Bu kadar ezici bir davranışla, bu insanların gerçekten orada eğitim almadıklarını ve bu mesleğe hiçbir şekilde uygun olmadıklarını hemen anlayabilirsiniz! Gana'da yine nasıl denir: Sistem çalışmıyor! Bu Ganalılar yurt dışında çalışsalar bile!

Lazy people. First you said where he is being held is too far even though it's just 3 hours drive from the consulate. Now he has been moved to much further location and now you are giving excuses.
Very lazy people.

Tembel insanlar. İlk önce, konsolosluğa arabayla sadece 3 saat uzaklıkta olmasına rağmen tutulduğu yerin çok uzak olduğunu söylemiştiniz. Şimdi çok daha uzak bir yere taşındı ve şimdi siz bahaneler üretiyorsunuz.
Çok tembel insanlar.

Because of them my brother is locked up for almost a month now.
